Best Platforms to Buy Unlisted Shares in India (2026): 7 Sites Compared
· 8 min read · Written by the BuyUnlistedShares desk. Information only, not investment advice.
A side-by-side comparison of seven Indian unlisted-share platforms on the things that decide a good deal: dated prices, reviewed research, IPO data, settlement into your own demat and fee disclosure.
Direct answer: No single platform is right for everyone. The right choice depends on whether you want a dealer or a marketplace, how much you plan to invest, whether prices are visible without a login, and how settlement works. BuyUnlistedShares (buyunlistedshares.com), the unlisted and pre-IPO dealing desk of Gayatri Financial Synergy, in the market since 2002, publishes dated indicative prices for 230+ companies every working day, runs a live IPO calendar with GMP and allotment data, and settles by demat-to-demat transfer into your own account. For a wider, row-by-row comparison of twelve platforms, see our guide Where to buy unlisted shares in India.
The rest of this article compares seven platforms Indian investors actually use — BuyUnlistedShares, UnlistedZone, Precize, Planify, UnlistedKart, Altius Investech and Stockify — on the seven things that decide whether a deal in the unlisted market goes well: how long the operator has been around, how prices are shown, whether research is reviewed, whether IPO data is on the same site, how a deal settles, and whether fees are disclosed. Every rival fact below was read from that site’s own public pages on the date in the “Checked on” line. Where a site does not say something, we say “not stated” rather than guess.
What a good unlisted-share platform must do
Unlisted shares do not trade on an exchange. There is no order book, no circuit filter and no exchange-guaranteed settlement. That means the platform you choose does three jobs an exchange would otherwise do for you:
- Price discovery. An unlisted price is an indicative level, not an executable quote. A useful platform tells you the level and the date it was set, so you can see whether it is today’s number or last quarter’s. Read how unlisted share prices are determined before comparing any two sites.
- Information. The company is not obliged to publish quarterly results to you. Somebody has to read the RoC filings, the DRHP and the annual report and turn them into a note you can use. The question is who reads that note before it is published.
- Settlement. Your shares should land in your demat account through an off-market transfer at NSDL or CDSL, with a contract note in your name. Anything else — shares parked in a pooled account, a “wallet” you cannot see at the depository — is a structure you need to understand before you pay.
Price the seven platforms against those three jobs and the picture is clear.

Checked on 21 September 2026 against the public pages of each site: unlistedzone.com (home, /about-us, a /shares/ company page, /research-report); precize.in (home, /faqs, /guides/how-to-buy-unlisted-shares, /shares/csk-limited-unlisted-shares); planify.in (home, /about-us, /unlisted-shares, /pre-ipo, /research-report); unlistedkart.com (home); altiusinvestech.com (home, /about); stockify.net.in (home, /about, /unlisted-shares-price-list-india, a /companies/ page). “Not stated” means we did not find it on those pages; it may exist elsewhere on that site. Details change, so check each site yourself before you act.
Reading the table
Three patterns stand out. First, dated prices are rarer than you would expect. Of the seven sites, only BuyUnlistedShares, UnlistedZone and Stockify print an as-of date next to the price on the company page. A price without a date is a number you cannot act on with confidence, because an unlisted quote from three weeks ago can be 10–15% away from today’s level.
Second, IPO data and unlisted data usually live on different sites. Most unlisted-share platforms send you elsewhere for the IPO calendar, grey-market premium and allotment dates. BuyUnlistedShares keeps both on one domain, because the whole point of a pre-IPO position is what happens at the IPO. See the live IPO calendar.
Third, fee disclosure is thin across the market. Only Stockify states on its pages that commissions are built into the stated price; UnlistedZone states “no hidden charges” without figures; the rest say nothing we could find. Whoever you buy from, ask for the all-in price per share in writing before money moves.
How BuyUnlistedShares handles these three jobs
Here is how BuyUnlistedShares handles each of the three jobs above; every point is something you can check yourself.
- 24 years in the market. Gayatri Financial Synergy has run a desk in Faridabad since 2002. No other platform in the table states an earlier start; UnlistedZone dates itself to 2018 and Planify to early 2019. When you are buying something with no exchange behind it, the counterparty’s track record is part of the product.
- 230+ companies priced every day, with the date. Every company page on the screener carries an indicative price and the day it was set, and the price history is kept so you can see the trend, not just the level.
- Research that is read before it is published. Our notes are built from RoC filings, DRHPs and annual reports, and each one is reviewed in-house by the desk before it goes live. The notes are information, not advice — and somebody has read every line.
- One site for the whole journey. Unlisted price, company financials, the DRHP-filed flag, and then the IPO price band, GMP, day-wise subscription and allotment date all sit on the same domain.
- Settlement in your own demat. Shares move by off-market transfer into your NSDL or CDSL account, with a contract note in your name. The enquiry-to-demat walk-through shows every step.
- A desk you can call. A phone number answered by the desk that works the deal, not a ticket queue. Ask for the all-in price, the counterparty and the settlement timeline, and you get all three before you are asked to pay.
How to use any platform safely
Whichever name you pick, the same checks apply. Confirm the ISIN before you pay, so the security that lands in your demat is the one you priced. Ask whether the quoted price includes all charges. Ask which demat account the shares come from and how long the transfer takes. Read the risk page — unlisted shares are illiquid, the IPO may not happen, and a six-month lock-in applies to pre-IPO shares after listing. And understand the tax treatment: unlisted equity held over 24 months is long-term, and the rate is different from listed shares.
To see how our desk works, start with the screener, pick a company, read the note, and call. A price on the page is the start of a conversation, not a sale.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Which is the best platform to buy unlisted shares in India?
It depends on what you need. In an exchange-free market, check five things: whether prices carry a date, whether the platform is your counterparty (a dealer) or only connects buyers and sellers, the minimum investment, how settlement works (it should be demat-to-demat, with payment only into the company’s own bank account), and whether you can reach a desk. BuyUnlistedShares is a dealer, in the market since 2002, covering 230+ companies with the as-of date printed on every price; the table above shows how the other platforms describe themselves.
2. Do all unlisted-share platforms show the same price?
No. Each platform quotes its own indicative level, and levels differ by a few percent between sites on the same day. Compare the date on each price as well as the number; a stale price on one site can look cheaper than a current price on another.
3. How do unlisted shares get delivered after I buy?
Through an off-market transfer at NSDL or CDSL from the seller’s demat account into yours, using the ISIN of the company. A proper platform gives you a contract note in your name and the transfer typically reflects within a day or two of payment.
4. Are unlisted-share platforms regulated by SEBI?
Unlisted shares are not traded on a SEBI-recognised exchange, and most platforms, including BuyUnlistedShares, are not SEBI-registered brokers or advisers. The transfer itself runs on the regulated depository system. Treat every platform’s content as information, not advice, and verify the counterparty before you pay.
5. What is the minimum amount needed to buy unlisted shares?
Most desks work with a minimum ticket of roughly ₹10,000 to ₹25,000, set by the lot size of the specific company. On BuyUnlistedShares the minimum ticket is ₹25,000; the lot size and the exact minimum for that company are shown on each company page, next to the dated price.
Information only, not investment advice. Unlisted and pre-IPO securities carry liquidity, valuation and listing-timing risk; read the offer document and consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser for advice specific to your situation.
