Sell your unlisted shares & ESOPs
Holding vested ESOPs or shares in a private company? Tell the sell-side desk what you hold and we'll come back with an indicative reference and clear next steps — no obligation to proceed.
This is an enquiry, not an order. An indicative reference is a benchmark, not a guaranteed price, and a sale, price or timeline is never guaranteed — unlisted holdings settle off-market in demat form and can take time to exit.
What the sell-side enquiry gives you
What you can bring to the desk
You may submit an enquiry about an allotted holding. Transferability, buyer interest, pricing and any available route must be assessed case by case; none is guaranteed.
How the sell enquiry works
Tell us your holding
Name the company, how many shares and what kind — ESOP, direct or otherwise.
An indicative market reference
The desk benchmarks a reference against live pricing across the unlisted companies we track. It is a reference, not a guaranteed price.
The desk reviews possible next steps
The desk checks the information supplied and may explain possible introductions or intermediary routes. No buyer, price or completion is promised.
Any execution is documented separately
If you choose to proceed, the intermediary, counterparty, fees, documents and off-market demat settlement terms must be disclosed and agreed separately.

Frequently asked questions
How is my selling price decided?
The desk gives an indicative reference benchmarked to live market references across the unlisted companies we track. It is a reference, not a guaranteed price — the final number depends on buyer demand and verification of the shares.
Can I sell vested ESOPs even though the company isn't listed?
Usually yes, if the shares are allotted, vested and freely transferable. Some holdings carry lock-ins or company transfer-restrictions — we check that upfront before anything proceeds.
How does settlement work?
If an enquiry proceeds, execution and settlement must be handled under separate documentation by the disclosed intermediary and counterparty. Unlisted shares generally transfer off-market between demat accounts through NSDL/CDSL; verify the documents, payment mechanics and intermediary registration before proceeding.
Is there a fee?
Submitting the website form is a non-binding enquiry. Any intermediary, counterparty or service fee relevant to a later step must be disclosed separately before you decide whether to proceed.
Will my information be kept private?
We use your details to review and respond to the enquiry. If you ask us to take it further, relevant details may be shared with a separately identified intermediary or counterparty as described in our Privacy Policy.
Do you guarantee a sale or a price?
No. This page accepts non-binding enquiries and does not guarantee a buyer, sale, price, timeline or completion. It is information only, not investment advice or an offer to deal.
BuyUnlistedShares provides research, indicative market data and non-binding buy and sell enquiries. It does not provide investment advice, operate an exchange, execute trades, custody securities or accept customer funds. Any execution and settlement must occur through an appropriately registered intermediary under separate documentation. Unlisted securities carry material risks, including limited liquidity, uncertain pricing, transfer restrictions and possible loss of capital. Prices and availability are indicative and may change. Evaluate the documents, intermediary, suitability and risks independently before acting. A sell enquiry is not an order, price promise or guaranteed sale.
